Controller and contact

The controller is Adriana Vuković Law Office, Karlovačka cesta 4h, 10020 Zagreb, Croatia. For questions about personal-data processing or to exercise your rights, contact adriana.vukovic@vukovic-law.hr or +385 99 193 60 53.

02

A website without tracking

This version of the website does not use analytics or marketing cookies, embed external video or map services, or provide a contact form or user accounts. Direct email and telephone links are used for contact.

The web server and hosting security layer may automatically process limited technical data, such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, browser identifier and response status, and may set a technically necessary security cookie for protection, availability and troubleshooting. Such a cookie is not used for marketing or profiling.

03

Enquiries and legal engagements

If you contact the office by email or telephone, the office may process your identification and contact details, information about the matter and documents that you choose to provide. The purposes are to respond, conduct a potential conflict check, take steps at your request before an engagement, establish and perform the legal engagement, and comply with legal and professional obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, the legal bases are taking pre-contractual steps and performing a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and the office’s legitimate interests in secure communication, conflict checking and the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Special-category data is processed only where necessary, including for legal claims. Do not send information that is unnecessary for an initial assessment.

04

Recipients and transfers

Access is limited to persons who need the data for the stated purposes and who are bound by confidentiality or legal professional secrecy. Where necessary for a matter or required by law, data may be disclosed to courts, public authorities, other parties to proceedings, professional collaborators and providers of essential IT, hosting and communication services acting as processors.

Data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area without an appropriate legal basis and safeguards.

05

Retention

Information from an enquiry that does not become an engagement is retained only as long as necessary to respond, maintain communication security and keep a reasonable conflict-check record. Files and data for active and closed matters are retained in accordance with legal and professional duties and periods needed to protect legal claims. Technical logs are retained for the shortest period needed for system security and stability.

06

Your rights

Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

If you believe that processing infringes data-protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP). You are encouraged to contact the office first so the issue can be considered directly.

07

Voluntary information and automated decisions

Submitting an initial enquiry is voluntary. Without basic contact details and sufficient information about the situation, the office may be unable to respond, check conflicts or assess whether it can accept the matter. The office does not use this website for automated decision-making or profiling.
